A commercial aircraft belonging to Nigerian airline company, Dana Air on Tuesday morning skidded off the runway at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State.

It was also gathered that although there was panic, the passengers were evacuated safely and no casualty was recorded from the incident.
Over the past few months, Nigeria’s aviation sector has experienced several plane accidents and technical faults.
In November 2023, SaharaReporters also reported how the Value Jet aircraft skidded off the runway at the Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State.
“Value Jet Airline aircraft has skidded off the runway at the Port Harcourt International Airport, there are reports of injuries,” a source said.
“An aircraft has landed in an emergency way in Port Harcourt airport. While some persons were injured, no death was recorded.”
