PRESS STATEMENT: The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) will hold an Emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) on Tuesday March 11, 2009, in Abuja, at 10:00am.
The agenda at the meeting will be THE STATE OF THE NATION, with focus on proposed deregulation of the downstream sector of the oil industry and sale of refineries, among other national issues.
The meeting will be attended by President and General Secretaries as well as Treasurers of all Thirty Six (36) industrial unions, and Chairmen and Secretaries of Congress Thirty Six (36) State Councils, including the FCT Council. Also in attendance will be the leadership of Congress comprising members of the National Administrative Council (NAC) led by Comrade Abdulwahed Omar.
