Umaru Yar’adua: Like President like Vice; A Tale of Two Kind

March 4, 2010

And it came to pass Umaru Yar’adua our now incapacitated President was deported on the eve of a would-be minister’s coup against his office after 3 months of medical asylum in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Packaged like contraband goods about to be smuggled into the country in a thick devils night, protected by a brigade of army troops who acted as though the packaged good was a “made to kill” weapon.

Since that fortunate return, the cabal celebrated their victory-at-last win with songs of praises in Abuja, Kastina, Bayelsa and Saudi. Given the kind of thanksgiving an onlooker might mistakenly think another debt relieved had been granted to Nigeria by the ever rich Paris Club. The magnitudes of celebrations show that these cabals were out for kill; they rejoiced, danced, pat on the back the Aso rock god (Turai) who made Umaru Yar’adua’s return a success. As this happened, there was noticeable mortuary-type silence that paraded the Aguda House part of Aso Rock villa, akin to the night the man of the house returned to catch a cheating wife and her lover.

UMYA/JEG: Where Incompetent-Greed meets Incompetent-Fear

That Umaru Ya’adua is grossly incompetent, unprepared, lame and unfortunately catastrophically greedy-sick is not in dispute. We have vividly followed the journey of UMYA since he was reluctantly hand-picked by the god of “modern confused Nigeria” (Baba Iyabo) to the present day “Atilogwu” dance currently performed from Saudi Arabia where the high point of the charade was hosted down to Abuja. The gods certainly will not be offended should we agree UMYA is about to be the worst thing that ever happened to Nigeria besides the unnecessary unification of total strangers by the thieving and visually impaired Lord Lugard whose gift to his mistress was an opportunity to name his new amalgamatry experiment as a thank you for a night of random mind-blowing sex session.

We will be stating the very crystal-clear obvious since it now visibly clear to the blind that UMYA is a do-nothing and a total disaster who basically achieved Zero percent in Kastina State when bench-marked by any index in the world. That he is annoyingly sluggish and uncompromisingly greedy to the blood is a subject for classical amusement. Kastina State which he presided upon for 8yrs still remain the worst of the states in Nigeria, educational enrolment loquaciously carries the national lowest patronage.

Proceeding to discuss the health and other infrastructures of the state will bring about total boredom that may require a full plate “Isi ewi“and half a carton of “Odeku”to redeem the lost excitement. Given the current economy of the country it will amount to colossal waste to engage in such a pleasure eating, as most people in the country could barely afford a portion of a days meal. Although we have read as billions of naira are on cards for use in bribing of our good-for- nothing national assembly members whose only concern is the content of their Envelop/Ghana must go bag.

Just when we thought things will look-up for a better day, since the gods of the poor had intervened stylishly by inflicting UMYA with the kind of sickness the bible god inflicted on stone-hearted pharaoh whose pastime was to torment his people for his greedy pleasure.

Then we were yet again faced with a choice of allowing the incompetent UMYA carry on from his secluded bed where the affairs of the country will be directed through his loyal, bird of the same feather wife, who will experiment with the destiny of millions of Nigerians, just like incompetent Lord Lugard and his lame consort Flora Shaw stupidly married different people with no historic attachment in their bedroom.

Or reject the Yar’adua’s for another reluctant, incompetent, never seem-to-be-ready, totally confused, catastrophically fearful, fence seating, but thank god not sick Goodluck Jonathan. Whose latest role had inspired a great deal of hope in face of tyrannical ego-boasting and quantum display of greed by the Yar’aduas. Goodluck Jonathan’s lesson of life showed it is better to fight for something than sit and allow luck order your steps

Like i said yesterday luck that happens when preparation meets opportunity is an advantage. A person would have been ready, well nurtured and calculated, working his way up  if luck to shines then its good, but you must be ready when an opportunity comes before you. Opportunity often comes in the form of work and that's why most people seem to miss it; most people are too busy looking for the easy path through life, they seem to lay around waiting for the opportunity of a lifetime to simply fall at their feet.

That we are faced with tough choice of Yar’adua’s “cabal” and Jonathan’s “goodluck” is to say the gods indeed played a master-trick on us, given what is known now and as hard/bitter it is to swallow i am almost coming home to midwife the provincial saying of how “the devil you know being better that the angel unknown” That Goodluck Jonathan will wake up from his snail movement to overcome his shyness is not a gamble i am not ready to stake a penny on. The person that may bails this cat from the Yar’adua cage is person worthy of our search.

Jonathan Goodluck: A fearful Commander-in-Chief

The office of the Commander-in-Chief is not a place where a child goes to play "ten - ten" game neither is it a place where a man whose heart is as soft as the jelly fish goes to command. Nigeria’s C-in-C position is tough and edgy given the political structure of our nation. That Jonathan Goodluck occupies such highly demanded office with the kind of kiddie’s guts he display calls for a rethink.

Some days ago, an investigative Nigerian news website (Saharareporters.com) published a yet to be disproved report which clearly stated that our Commander-in-Chief saw Umaru Yar’adua in company of the National Security Adviser to the president, the report had it that on sighting UMYA our Commander-in-Chief showed symptoms of a fainting spell and was reportedly “stabilized’ by Saudi doctors attending to Yar’Adua.

What did our Commander-in-Chief see that made him start to faint to the point of being stabilized by the doctors already attending to bed-ridden UMYA. Does this by any chance suggest that UMYA is a ghost?........Lord! Have serious mercy. On a serious note, a Commander-in-Chief no matter what he saw is not supposed to show fear or weakness; just as the Queen of England cannot cry in public.

Acting President and Untouchable Cabals

That the Acting President is fearful is no longer a new gist in town. Many of his supporters have now shifted gear while others seem to be emulating his “siddon look” approach. Since coming on board with popular support from all and sundry who defied the cold and snowy weather of Europe and America together with Nigerian masses who asked the hell-fire sun of Abuja and Lagos in large number calling for the constitution to be obeyed, which he Jonathan Goodluck will be the direct beneficiary.

As pressure mounted on the nation, the National assembly members out of fear for their political & personal lives invoked a doctrine to necessitate the political vacuum in what appeared like the cabals whose plans are for selfishness and greed power-hold defeat. Jonathan Goodluck has failed to capitalise on his immediate power.

Let us not forget the musings of our Ag President who had accused some known persons in government (forget those outside government) we all know the people he referred to are the cabals. Since assuming the Commander-in Chief’s post, We have been waiting to see an expected end of the criminal gangs holding the nation hostage; It looks like we will be burying our hopes for another government since the cabal appears to be stronger and more determined to maintain the status-quo than our Commander-in-chief.

Wisdom For Jonathan GoodLuck

Our Acting President should remember he stand to lose on all front when this charade comes to end, the PDP his party gave him a red card in clear words “forget the 2011 elections”. Based on their (PDP) convention power will remain in the North. The Implication of this is, come 2011, if Jonathan Goodluck does not find an alternative platform to contest the 2011 elections, his political life will come to a definite end.

As we know he is not much regarded by his own thieving Governor (Timipre Sylva), neither is he respected amongst the Niger-Delta political region.  Before Jonathan Goodluck becomes totally irrelevant after 2011 in Nigeria, he has a chance to immortalise his name. Good-luck can bring you to a place, but you need courage, determination and other brave acts to sustain that which luck has deposited in you.

Dr. GoodLuck Jonathan has an opportunity today to make sure History does not remember him as the man whose chances of becoming a great leader by changing the face of Nigerian politics, were murdered by fear.  That Acting President Jonathan carries with him the support of many Nigerians and the International community such that MKO Abiola, Barack Obama and the rest had, but chooses to romance fear is puzzling and mind boggling.

Nigerians are not asking for too much, just a few things will do. What would it take our Acting president to remove the Nigeria’s face of fraud Maurice Iwu? What would it take him to send the EFCC chairman back home? How much time would it take to dissolve the cabinet? How long more are we going to be faced with this yar’adua cabal? Can our Ag President please stand up and step up? Nigeria is not ready for this calamity called fear.

We cannot afford an Acting President who is held hostage by the same cabal holding the Substantive President, the consequences of that happening will be too grave for our already discombobulated country

I will finish this article by saying (when time comes for stock-taking, we (Nigerians) will remember the action/inactions of our Acting President in developing Nigeria, not the ranting of Yar’adua’s Cabal).

As Nigerians refuses to heal their land, may God not do their job.

I maintain my Loyalty
