Woman Who Died On Delta Airline Flight From Lagos Had Ovarian Cancer

The 57-year old woman who died on the flight from Lagos to Atlanta on Monday died of ovarian cancer, according to autopsy reports released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The  burea identified the passenger as Aolatou Assani according to John Bankhead the agency spokesman.

The agency described the cause of her death as "diffuse, metastatic ovarian cancer."

Assani was  was found dead yesterday aboard Delta Flight 53 an hour before the flight was due to land at the Jackson-Hartsfield International airport in Atlanta.
