TIME TABLE OF ACTIVITIES FOR 2011 GENERAL ELECTIONS

 

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Independent National Electoral Commission by the Electoral Act, 2010 and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Independent National Electoral Commission (in this Time Table and Schedule of Activities referred to as “the Commission” hereby issues this Time Table and Schedule of Activities for 2011 General Elections

Section 25 of the Electoral Act, 2010, dates of elections to be appointed by the Commission.

 

 

Note: (i) Run off elections to the office of Governor of a State and office of the President (if any) will be held within 7 days after the announcement of the result of the affected election.

 

 

(ii) This Time Table and Schedule of Activities supersedes the earlier Time Table and Schedule of                   Activities for the 2011 General Elections issued by the Commission.

 

 

(iii) There shall be no campaign 24 hours before and on any day of election, i.e 2nd, 9th, and 16th April,        2011
