London Metropolitan Police officers told SaharaReporters today they are actively seeking the former governor for prosecution.  Mr. Attah had claimed in a report in The Guardian (Nigeria) a few days ago that the Metropolitan Police did not indict him.

The Metropolitan Police told us Mr. Attah knows better, and urged him to visit the UK if he is confident he is not under indictment.  Others being sought along with former Governor Attah include David Edevbie, a former Principal Secretary to Umaru Yar'Adua; Love Ojakovo, a former Commissioner of Finance to Ibori; and Henry Imashekka, a business associate of Ibori’s.

In an effort to bridge the gap between Mr. Attah’s claims and the position of the UK Police, SaharaReporters hereby offers the former Governor a Business Class return place ticket to London on any day of his choosing within May 2011; a trip that will enable him to demonstrate to the world his honour and credibility over the V-Mobile shares.
