Our attention has been drawn to misleading reports in several media outlets of an alleged crisis within the National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party over the rebranding project currently being handled by Messrs CMC Connect/Newage Communications.

Our attention has been drawn to misleading reports in several media outlets of an alleged crisis within the National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party over the rebranding project currently being handled by Messrs CMC Connect/Newage Communications.

2.    The story being mischievously circulated is that the Party has refused to honour its payment obligations to the consortium. There is no truth whatsoever in this story.

3.    The facts on ground are that the PDP has a contractual agreement with CMC/Newage for the execution of the rebranding project spelt out in specific phases. The PDP is currently embarking on an administrative process to evaluate the extent of work done which is standard practice in any contract. This will enable the Party know the achievements recorded so far in reengineering the image of our Party, the challenges encountered and the way forward.

4.    We are therefore surprised as to why this purely routine administrative matter should elicit controversy especially from people who are in no way connected with the project. In this regard, the report is inaccurate, mischievous and should be disregarded by all concerned.
