Chieftain of Congress for Progressive Change and former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has been arrested by the State Security Services upon arrival from United Kingdom this morning after he accompanied Major General Muhammad Buhari, the presidential candidate of the CPC, and Vice presidential candidate of CPC, Pastor Tunde Bakare, to make a formal presentation about the recently concluded elections at the Chattam House in London.

Whereas Pastor Bakare arrived Lagos from London on Friday night without incident, Mr. ElRufai, who recently began writing critical columns against the regime of Goodluck Jonathan, in Nigeria's newspaper, Thisday was snagged up by the SSS and detained for questioning as he made to leave the airport this morning according to party officials.
