Mr. Ajisebutu was arrested last week Wednesday after EFCC investigators traced $1 million to his account. The money was allegedly  diverted from the First City Merchant Bank domiciliary account owned by Ogun State.

EFCC investigators believe that Mr. Ajisebutu is one of the many fronts used by Daniel when he was the governor, to steal funds belonging to the state.

For today's search, EFCC sources told SaharaReporters they had Mr. Ajisebutu accompany them from detention.

Two other persons involved in the large-scale looting of the state are Mr. Daniel's Chief of Staff, Chief Yomi Majekodunmi, and a former commissioner for finance, Kehinde Shogunle.  Both were granted bail by the EFCC last night after they volunteered to provide documents linking the governor to various financial scams in the state.

In nearby Oyo State, former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, who is embroiled in a similar confrontation with the EFCC, was yesterday granted a N500 million bail by an Ibadan High Court judge.
