Fighting broke out today in Gombe township over a new mosque built near the Emir's palace.
Sources told SaharaReporters that fighting erupted between two radical muslim sects who laid claims to the control of the mosque. The fighting inside the mosque led to broken glasses of the mosque were and five people were reportedly killed while some were injured before the police and soldiers brought the situation under control late afternoon.
