President Goodluck Jonathan’s order to the security services to crack down on the widespread civil disobedience has led to the extra-judicial killing of three peaceful protesters at the Pen Cinema area of Agege, Lagos, allegedly by one CSP Segun Olubunmi, the DPO of Pen Cinema police station driving a vehicle with registration number RS 101 LA. The police shot and killed Ademola Aderinlo after brutally torturing him on the street.

In Kano, the police also killed two other peaceful protesters today at the protest rallies there. Many injuries have also been reported.
Helicopters gunships were seen hovering over the Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota, where over 150,000 gathered at the venue of the Save Nigeria Rally. All the protest rallies organised by the NLC and TUC terminated at the Gani Fawehinmi Park.
Currently, more than five people have lost their lives today to the brutality and constitutional rights violation of Mr. Jonathan’s security forces.
Reports of the killings infuriated the protesters in Lagos who defiantly began to curse Mr. Jonathan and to demand his resignation as the President of Nigeria.
Mr. Jonathan came to office only seven months ago, claiming to have obtained over 70% of the votes in most of Nigeria.
