An SSS source told Saharareporters that security officials are being cautious about the exact identity of Abdu Qaqa, which is a moniker for several spokespersons of the group.

But he confirmed that the arrest had been long in coming, as newly trained members of the agency made a breakthrough last week in tracking down Abdu Qaqa.

The suspect, it has been learned, used several mobile phone SIM cards, and moved frequently in the north east region of Nigeria, which has been the hotbed of Boko Haram activity.
