A security source told Saharareporters that Boko Haram gunmen opened fire on a military checkpoint around 6: 00 AM Nigerian time thus provoking a massive response from soldiers located around the area.
Four Boko Haram militants were reportedly captured by soldiers involved in the operation. However, the joint task force has not issued a statement or spoken publicly about the incident.
