We Bombed Jos Church - Boko Haram

The leadership of the Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad, widely known as Boko Haram, has claimed responsibility for today’s suicide bombing of COCIN Church headquarters in Jos, Plateau State.
Its purported spokesperson, Abul ‘Qaqa,’ told journalists in a telephone conference that they carried out the attack in Jos, and were also responsible for the burning of a public primary school in Maiduguri, in retaliation for the invasion of Islamic schools.

The sect said, “We are responsible and it will continue, we must revenge killings of Muslims in Plateau State. Anybody that stands on our way must lower six feet to the ground. Our attacks have no distinction on any person, be him Muslim or infidel. For as long as they stand against us and our cause, their blood is legitimate to be shed. More of this will come beyond imagination."

Meanwhile, Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, has directed thorough protection for churches and mosques in the state.

The governor disclosed this following his visit to the scene of today’s bombing scene and.  He also visited the victims at the hospital.

Jang said, “We are doing everything to make sure that churches and mosques are protected from these attacks, the security offices and major buildings are also being protected. I urge that we should all calm down and remain law-abiding; people should not take the laws into their hands, we should allow the security personnel to handle the situation.”

He also cautioned against rioting, saying, “It will not help anybody if we start rioting. In any case, who shall we riot against? These are the people that the security should be able to unravel. So, allow the security to do their work. Everybody should go back home but I want to assure you all that we will maintain the peace that we have started enjoying.’’
