The soldiers and the SSS operatives cordoned the area following intelligence reports that the sect has been re-grouping and planning to attack from Hanwa in Sabon Gari local government area.

A top SSS source told SaharaReporters in Abuja that it was a successful operation. “They are potential suicide bombers of the Boko Haram, the suicide bomber that attacked Kaduna military base was from their headquarters in Zaria. Our men working with soldiers arrested five and with some of their women and incriminating documentary evidence that proved their culpability.

“They were well armed too and started firing at our operatives as soon as they were cornered. We recovered several weapons from them. This is a big breakthrough in our combing of Kaduna State and the North in its entirety. They were found in one house they were renting.”

SaharaReporters also gathered that Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Shehu Idris was shocked by the development.
