Egbe Omo Yoruba Greater New York has announced its annual Chief Obafemi Awolowo Memorial Lecture, at which the Guest Speaker, Chief Lekan Awojoodu, will speak on "Southwest States’ Integration as a Path to Region’s Renaissance.”
The event, at which Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola is expected to be the Guest of Honor, will take place on March 10 at New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott Hotel, at 11 AM.
A statement issued in New York by Barrister Dele Alade, the Public Relations Officer of Egbe Omo Yoruba of Greater New York and Mrs. Buki Otegbade, the President, urged Nigerians, particularly the Yoruba in the Diaspora, to seize the opportunity of the event to “have their inputs in the current efforts to integrate the southwest zone of Nigeria.”
The keynote speaker will be Rev. Tunji Adebiyi, the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Regional Integration, while Professor (Senator) Banji Akintoye will chair the event. The President of Egbe Omo Yoruba North America, Mrs. Moni Tenabe, will be the Special Guest.
