A senior lecturer with the Auchi polytechnic, Mr. Moses Egbape was on Saturday night kidnapped by gunmen at his residence in South Ibie, Etsako west local government area of Edo state.

Egbape kidnap was the second time in a week that such a crime would be occurring in the area.

Only last week, a petroleum distributor popularly known as Sacchis was abducted by gunmen and released few days later after payment of N2m ransom.
Egbape was said to have been kidnapped by the gunmen as he was about driving into his compound.
The lecturer was said to have been coming back from the office when the incident occurred.

The Auchi Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Mr. Abubakar Mohammed confirmed the lecturer’s abduction.
