The Ojudu family in Ado-Ekiti has announced the death of their patriarch, Pa Jimoh Ojudu, who died in their hometown on Sunday at the age of 80.

The Ojudu family in Ado-Ekiti has announced the death of their patriarch, Pa Jimoh Ojudu, who died in their hometown on Sunday at the age of 80.

A statement by Senator Babafemi Ojudu, representing Ekiti Central in the Nigerian senate describes Pa Jimoh Ojudu as a loving father and a community leader who devoted his life to the rearing of his children into successful adults and to defending the cause of his people and humanity in general.

Senator Ojudu said he derived his activist instincts and boldness from his father who would not stand by and watch an innocent soul suffer.

While he wished his father eternal rest, the lawmaker said although his dad was well-advanced in age, his care and guidance would be enormously missed by him and his siblings.

Pa Jimoh Ojudu is survived by six children, many grandchildren and a great grandchild.
