AFCON Final: Keshi To Wait Till Sunday For Decision On Emenike, Moses

Super Eagles boss, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, says he is hopeful the dynamic duo of Emmanuel Emenike and Victor Moses will play in Sunday’s AFCON final against Burkina Faso.

He made the decision following consultations with his medical team, Media Officer Ben Alaiya said.

Alaiya quoted the coach, who was speaking before the team’s final training session at Soccer City in Soweto, as saying he will wait till the last minute before deciding whether the boys will play or not, and that no other opinion is acceptable.

He however assured Nigerians not to panic over the two players, pointing out that in the case of their not being ready, he has capable replacements to fit into the shoes of both players.

“I can understand the apprehension of the public over the two players but we must be a little patient, because I know that the two of them want to play in the final and the medical team is working round the clock.”
