The development follows the horrendous bombing in Kano on Monday which ravaged a public bus terminus.  About six luxury buses loading Eastern Nigeria bound passengers were destroyed in that attack.  The police in Kano yesterday confirmed that 22 people died in the incident, while 65 were injured.

When called from New York by SaharaReporters, a senior military officer who is a member of the crack team approach confirmed that intelligence reports had unraveled a plot by the terrorists to strike in Kaduna, and possibly Zaria where there are several educational institutions.

The officer, who pleaded for anonymity said, "I can confirm that it is true and there are pointers that terrorists want Kaduna down too. We have got reinforcements and [are] beefing up Kaduna and Zaria towns. This is the little I can say. Please."

Civilian sources also told us they have noticed unusual security appearances and operations in Zaria and on the Kaduna-Zaria Express Way leading up to Jaji Military Cantonment.
