The National Association Of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has called on the Federal Government to immediately relieve the supervising Minister of Education, Barrister Nyesom Wike of ministerial responsibilities over his incompetence and failure to resolve the massive crises facing the Nigerian education sector.

The prolong ASUU and ASUP industrial actions have further shown the weakness of the supervising Minister.

NAPS as a Stakeholder in Nigeria Education Sector hereby call on President Goodluck Jonathan and National Assembly to facilitate the appointment of substantial Education Minister to rescue the collapse of Education in Nigeria or risk mass protest across the Country after 14 days.

NAPS appeals to the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics(ASUP) to consider the Polytechnic Students and in spirit of patriotism suspend its ongoing strike as the demands have been met substantially.
