Two Armed Robbers arrested by Police at Motor Park In Ondo

Confirming the arrest, Ondo State Command of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Wole Ogbodo, said that two robbers were trying to rob the park.

"They were loitering around the premises of the Motor Park and our men were immediately alerted about their suspicious walk around of the area.

"They were giving hot chased after sighting our boys from the Yaba Divisional Police Station and they were arrested," Ogbodo said.

Mr. Ogbodo said the two were among eight suspects that have been carrying out crimes in the town and its environs, and along the Benin-Ore expressway, and asked the public to provide any useful information that could lead to the arrest of the rest of the gang.

Saharareporters learned that the two suspects, Usman Richard, 22 and Kehinde, 32, extended their operations to the Benin-Ore highway when the Inspector General Police (IGP) banned and prohibited all road blocks across the express roads and other designated areas in Nigeria.

Saharareporters learned that a Beretta pistol, with other ammunition which included knives, and mobile phones were among items recovered from the suspects.
