The Police Service Commission today announced the promotion of 1402 police offices to various ranks, led by Mr. Adeola Adeniji Adeleke, who moved from Police Commissioner to Assistant Inspector General.

Those elevated from the rank of Deputy Commissioner to Commissioner are: Abdul Bube, Abubakar Marafa, Dan Bature, Karma Hosea Hassan, Augustine O. Evbakhabokun and Esosa A. M Amadasun.
The following officers were promoted from Assistant Commissioner to Deputy Commissioner: Felix Gochuk Gani, Ibrahim Sabo Umar, Joseph Gobum Mukan, Wakili Mohammed, Awunah N. Donald, Mohammed Jimoh, and Yahi Kwajima.
The announcement further said that seven officers moved from
Chief Superintendent to Assistant Commissioner; 242 Superintendents of Police were promoted to Chief Superintendents; 424 Deputy Superintendents became Superintendents, while 715 Assistant Superintendents were elevated to Deputy Superintendents.
