Players of the club were involved in a game against Crown FC of Ogbomosho (which they lost 0-1) when the coach died.

“It’s a great shock”, captain of the club, Emmanuel Ambrose said of the death as.

“I can confirm to you that we have lost our coach and all the players can’t believe that he’s dead, considering the level of malaria he had. He only complained of malaria in the morning, and the next thing we would hear later in the evening was that our coach is dead just like that”.
