As it is 66 days today since the Boko Haram sect in Chibok abducted over 200 female students in Borno state. SaharaReporters today learned from credible sources that foreign countries are only giving Nigerian military official ‘coordinates’ in the battle to rescue the girls.
The ‘coordinates,’ according to the source, says a military officer is basically supplying pictorial intelligence to the Nigerian Air Force of images of areas in Borno where the Boko Haram are sighted, and the whereabouts of their movements in all their locations in Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe states.
The source told our SaharaReporters correspondent in Maiduguri that “contrary to the wide expectation of combat foreign troops,” they receive only the ‘coordinates,’ and other modern equipment and software.
He said it is “not enough” to sufficiently engage the Boko Haram sect whom he said used highly sophisticated weaponry.
He also told our reporter that they are “in need of modern military equipment” and military hard and software to fully maximize trained manpower on ground.
SaharaReporters also learned that there are some Ukrainian military crews that were spotted recently in the troubled North-east, working on military tanks and other obsolete Nigerian Army military equipment.
