Adamawa Governorship Election To Be Held October 11

A new election to replace the impeached Adamawa State Governor will hold on Saturday, October 11, 2014 according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The election will seek a replacement for Murtala Nyako, a retired Navy admiral who was impeached on July 15th of this year. 

Nyako was impeached by the Adamawa State House of Assembly, while his deputy, James Ngilari, voluntarily resigned.
