“Coach I have up to four hand gloves and if you don’t mind, I can hand one pair to you,” Mikel jokingly told Keshi.

The arrival of the Chelsea midfielder, CSKA forward Musa and SS Lazio midfielder increased the ranks of the Nigerian squad to 17, with five players left to arrive.

With Captain Vincent Enyeama having withdrawn for family reasons, Keshi has called up El Kanemi keeper David Obiazor.

“We have been monitoring the Nigerian league and we see that the keeper El Kanemi is a talent and that is why we want to give him a trial. "We will see how it turns out when he arrives at camp,” Keshi said

Nigeria will take on the Diables Rouges of Congo at the U.J Esuene Stadium at 4pm on Saturday before travelling to South Africa on the 9th for the Bafana Bafana clash in Cape Town.
