The Daily Trust reported that Lt. Col. Adeboye was released from the Yola Federal Medical Centre earlier than expected and partly due to security concerns given the high profile of his family.

SaharaReporters initially broke the story of Lt. Col. Adeboye’s injury in Adamawa state on Monday as he led a platoon of soldiers in attempting to dislodge Boko Haram militants’ control of the town of Bazza.[story_link header="Former President Obasanjo's Son Shot In Mubi By Boko Haram" align="left"]34908[/story_link]

Despite assurances from the Nigerian Armed Forces today that Boko Haram fighters were being attacked by a coordinated aerial bombing campaign by Nigeria’s air force, it remains to be seen whether the terrorist group’s objective of taking Borno’s capital, Maiduguri, will be thwarted.
