Asaba, Delta State Capital, Yet Again Under Flood Waters

Despite billions of naira accrued to Delta State every month from the federation account, Governor Uduaghan has failed to curb the perennial flooding in the state capital and its environs.

Asaba, the capital city of Delta State, is always submerged by water whenever there is heavy rain. A heavy downpour Thursday proved this, and highlighted the failure of the state governor to solve this problem with finality.

Despite billions of Naira accrued to Delta State every month from the federation account, Governor Uduaghan has failed to curb the perennial flooding in the state capital and its environs.

The accompanying slideshow illustrates what residents are forced to pass through in Asaba. Aggrieved residents expressed disappointment in Governor Uduaghan over his continued failure to tackle the flooding.
