The former Eagles striker, who spoke on Sports Radio this morning, added that it is unfortunate that since Osaze Odemwingie was sidelined with a lengthy injury, no Nigerian official has deemed it fit to call the Stoke striker.
“You can’t expect a player to give his heart out when he knows people that are supposed to care about your general well-being don’t,” he said.
“That is why the players don’t care if Nigeria wins or loses. You can imagine Osaze has been injured for over a month now but nobody has called him to ask how he is holding up, I was the only person that called him even though he didn’t pick, he sent me an text message saying ‘coachie thanks for your concern, I had a successful surgery;’ that is how you build a relationship” Siasia said.
Siasia had last month in an interview declared he’s available to manage the national team again after contract negotiations issues between the current coach Stephen Keshi and the NFF went unresolved.
