New Adamawa Governor, Ngilari, Sacks State Executive Council

Ngilari also sacked with immediate effect all political appointees who assumed office in July after Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Ahmadu Fintiri, became acting governor upon Murtala Nyako’s impeachment.

Newly inaugurated Governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Bala Ngilari, has announced the dissolution of the state executive council.

Ngilari also sacked with immediate effect all political appointees who assumed office in July after Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Ahmadu Fintiri, became acting governor upon Murtala Nyako’s impeachment.

The new governor announced the sack in a terse statement signed by his chief of staff, Alhaji Chubado Tijjani.

The statement directed all affected office holders to hand over all documents and other government properties to permanent secretaries in their various ministries.

Heads of statutory commissions were not affected by the sack.
