October 15, 2014

The play, an epic story of love, war and betrayal set in the late 1890s in Dahomey Kingdom (present day Republic of Benin) and South-Western Nigeria, chronicles the tumultuous life of Amelia, daughter of the last independent King of Dahomey, King Gbèhanzin. Amelia is the apple of her father’s eye, loved beyond measure by her mother, and overprotected by her siblings.
