According to witness, the suicide bombers were dropped off by a  tricycle rider near the market, they walked into  the market and blew themselves up in the midst of the crowd.

The hospital source told Saharareporters that they received nine dead bodies yesterday, but more people died overnight in the course of receiving treatment due to severe injuries they sustained at the scene of the blast.

The source stated that there  is a possibility that the death toll will rise further because a few more people are still in critical condition. The two female suicide bombers and four others died instantly during the blast. At least 40 others were injured and remain hospitalized.

An eyewitness, Abdulaziz Saheed, who is a trader in the market said that the suicide bombers  appeared to be between the age of 10 to 13 years.
Saheed escaped the attack narrowly; he said  everyone was confused when we heard the sounds of the blasts because they happened seconds apart.

"It was not too far from my shop, when I heard a loud sound everything became blank, I couldn't see, at first I fell down but stood up to see many people running in all direction. There was confusion everywhere. I saw several people on the ground, so much blood everywhere," he said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing but the attack bear the hallmark of islamist insurgent group Boko Haram.
