Presidential Debates Slated For Jan. 28 And Feb. 5—NEDG

January 22, 2015

Presidential debates are a relatively new addition to Nigeria’s political landscape with PDP candidate and incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan apprehensive about participating in the 2011 presidential debates, according to the Washington Post. Prior to the 2011 debates, the last debate was held in 1993.

The Nigerian Elections Debate Group (NEDG) announced earlier this week that the two 2015 presidential debates would be held on January 28th and February 5th. NEDG also said that one vice presidential debate will be held on January 29th.
