A deputy Communications Minister, Ato Sarpong, said investigations affirm that the hackers were operating from Turkey. He however indicated that this is not likely to raise a diplomatic brouhaha as government was not dealing with the issue as a Ghana versus Turkey issue. “I don’t want us to look at it as a Turkish thing against a Ghana thing. Let’s allow the relevant authorities to take this one up” he said.

Mr. Sarpong assured Ghanaians that even though hacking cannot be entirely avoided, government has a capable IT team to deal a reoccurrence.
