A bomb ripped through the hub of a major transport service used to be run by the Kano State government. The explosion happened today around 3.30 p.m.(Nigerian time), according to details provided by eyewitnesses and confirmed by a high-level security source.

He stated that the bomb detonated at the park now known as Karota park.
The sources said several people were killed by the blast which was followed by gunshots in the area.
