Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has denied Saturday morning’s reports of bomb blasts in Enugu State.

Enugu State police reported the bomb explosion at a polling unit at the WTC Primary School in Enugu, this morning. WTC Primary School is located at Enugu North, one of the municipal local government areas in the Coal City State.

The explosion reportedly caused a fire outbreak that was quickly taken out. The raze reached parts of the main hall of the Ohanaeze secretariat where meetings of the local government were taking place.

There were no casualties reported but the blast was felt in the whole town.

Many people have linked the explosion to the recent leadership crisis between the Enwo Igariwey leadership against the Elders Council of Ohanaeze led by Elder Statesman, Mbazuluike Amaechi.

The Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime, told President Jonathan that there was no bomb blast at all.
