Two Dead After Boko Haram Attacks 2 Villages In Gombe State

Attacks by Boko Haram in the villages of Birin Bolawa and Birin Fulani in the Nafada local government area of Gombe state have left two people dead.

An election official said the gunmen were shouting “Didn’t we warn you about staying away from the election?”.

The election official said the gunmen arrived in Birin Bolawa in a pickup truck at about 8:30am. They fired shots which caused people to flee and left one voter dead. They set fire to all the abandoned election materials.

In the second attack at Birin Fulani, a resident said the attacked happened at about 9:15am. He said the gunmen opened fire on the polling station killing one man and causing others to flee.
