INEC Chairman Jega Updates Media On 2015 Polls

Chairman Jega announced that INEC “commends the security agencies for their vigilance and dedication” and added that "In the course of the elections yesterday, the Comm has received reports of security challenges in some states that were repelled."

Attahiru Jega, Chairman of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC), addressed the media in a brief conference late Sunday night.

Chairman Jega announced that INEC “commends the security agencies for their vigilance and dedication” and added that "In the course of the elections yesterday, the Comm has received reports of security challenges in some states that were repelled."

He also updated that some states needed to resort to manual accreditation due to issues with PVCs malfunctioning, namely “Osun, Kebbi, Ekiti, Adamawa, Borno, Jigawa, Anambra, Akwa Ibom and Ebonyi state reported manual accreditation in some PUs.”
