There are reports of electoral malpractices in Imo State, particularly in Mbaise, which is the home of the PDP governor candidate, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.

Reports also show that INEC guidelines have been defied, with voting beginning at 10:30am and without accreditation in several polling units in Amuzi/Ihenweorie ward in Ahiazu Mbaise.

Governor ballots are also not present at the polling units in Mbutu ward, Aboh Mbaise. Our citizen reporters have alleged electoral materials are being hoarded at Hon. Emeka Ihedeioha’s house, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the Federal  House of Representatives.

SaharaReporters has also learned that materials from Ossemoto in Ohaji Egbema Oguta were taken to INEC office and when anxious citizens went to  inquire why, they were tear gassed at the Oguta INEC office by police.
