Citizen journalists have told SaharaReporters that people are going about election day like any other day. Most businesses are open and the markets have been shown to be in full swing.

Sahara correspondents have also reported a 25% voter turnout in Lagos State thus far. Lagos PDP governorship candidate Olujimi Agbaje, said that he was surprised at the low voter turnout. He also encouraged more citizens to come out and participate, expressing that “democracy is a game of numbers”.
