Major Violence In Rivers State, Beheading Of Voter And Arrest Of Fake Policemen

SaharaReporters has received a number of accounts from citizen journalists concerning violence and chaos in Rivers State.

There has been two reports of fire in Buguma, Rivers State.

The INEC REC Center in Kalabari National College, Buguma was set on fire during the elections in Rivers State. A photo confirming this report is shown below.

The home of the Commissioner for Women Affairs in Rivers State, Mrs Joeba West, has also been reportedly set on fire in Buguma.

In the Buguma community of Asari-Toru local government area of Rivers State, there has reportedly been a beheading of a voter. The victim has not yet been identified.

In addition, alleged fake policemen with red berets were arrested by a military patrol team at Eleme local government area, polling unit 9, ward 1.
