1 Man Arrested For Posing As Election Official, INEC Confirms

The arrested person, and the election materials in their possession, were taken to the Oru East Local Government headquarters.

Sahara Reporters has confirmed from Mike Igini, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Imo State, confirmed that one person has been arrested for posing as an INEC official.

The unnamed individual was arrested at Omuma Primary School in Oru East Local Government Area following an order by Igini to detain the individual for pretending to be a presiding INEC official. Igini was previously the REC for Edo State during the last elections, but was brought to Imo State for these supplementary elections.

The arrested person, and the election materials in their possession, were taken to the Oru East Local Government headquarters.
