Buhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu, Others Attend Oshiomhole’s Wedding

Nigeria’s President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) and Vice- President-elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, were among the dignitaries who attended the wedding ceremony of Governor Adams Oshiomhole as he wedded his new bride, Lara Forte, on Friday in Edo State.[slideshow]39623[/slideshow]

Governor Oshiomhole married former Miss Forte, five years after losing his former wife, Clara, to a cancer-related ailment.

The new couple proceeded to a hall within the governor’s residence after completing documentation at a marriage registry.

Although the nationality of the new First Lady of the state has not been made official, sources said she hails from Cape Verde and was a former air hostess with an East African airline.

Also present at the ceremony which held at the Governor’s residence were the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun; former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon; the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; former Governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki; and others.

The National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, other APC governors and leaders were also at the venue of the event.

Speaking shortly before he departed the ceremony, Osinbajo said he wished the couple “all the very best,” expressing confidence that they would have a happy life together.
