BREAKING: PDP Trustee Chairman, Tony Anenih, Resigns

The National Secretary, Wale Oladipo, said that “consequent upon the resignation, the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jibrin holds forth pending the election of a new BoT Chairman.”

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) issued a statement saying that Tony Anenih, Chairman of the Board Trustees of the Party, as resigned from his post effective immediately.

The National Secretary, Wale Oladipo, said that “consequent upon the resignation, the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jibrin holds forth pending the election of a new BoT Chairman.”

The explanation that Tony Anenih gave in his resignation was that he left “on personal grounds.”

His resignation marks the second major PDP resignation in the last 24 hours, the first being PDP Chairman Ahmed Muazu who was forced to step down.
