The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has condemned the failure of the outgoing administration of President Jonathan to rescue the more than 200 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram in 2014.

In a statement to journalists on Wednesday, Ondo State Party Publicity Secretary, Omo'ba Abayomi Adesanya, said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government had failed woefully to provide security for school children in the country.

He wondered why the kidnapping of the Chibok School Girls remained a mystery to the PDP to date.

The statement added ‎that “it's important to push children in the right direction in order to build a better country of Nigeria.”

However, the ‎Party promised that the administration of the President-elect Muhammadu Buhari would give robust attention to the welfare and concern of children in the country.

"The incoming government of APC will make the welfare of the children a priority and enact laws that will protect children's rights.”

"Child trafficking will be tackled adequately to provide a safe atmosphere for our children that will prepare for future leadership", the Party spokesman said.
