Borno State Announces Curfew, Expresses Optimism In Fight Against Boko Haram

Dr. Bulama said the public and State government in Borno has “high confidence that the incoming administration, led by President-Elect Muhammadu Buhari, will end the insurgency in short period of time.”

Borno State government has said that its confident that the incoming administration of Muhammadu Buhari will end the Boko Haram insurgency which has ravaged the State continuously for several years.

Borno State Commissioner of Information, Dr. Mohammed Bulama, said this while addressing the media in his Maiduguri office just one day ahead of inauguration of Governor Kashim Shettima.

Dr. Bulama said the public and State government in Borno has “high confidence that the incoming administration, led by President-Elect Muhammadu Buhari, will end the insurgency in short period of time.”

He added that, ''this is first time since the return to democracy that the Borno State government will work hand in hand with the Federal government, so we can tackle the big challenges.''

Dr. Bulama also informed the general ‎general public that the State government has implemented a curfew from 6am to 10pm, to ensure adequate security measures have been put in place for the Gubernatorial Inauguration.
