Last week's Inauguration of Jigawa State Governor Alhaji Badaru Abubakar ended in a crisis concerning missing money supposed to be allocated for the Gubernatorial Inauguration.

A sum of N100 million, meant for food provisions and drinks, as well as other engagements, was pocked by officials of the Inauguration Committee, sources tell SaharaReporters.

The official who embezzled the money into his own accounts claims that he rightly spent it on the food provided from his eatery establishment in Kano.

This same man was accused of being rude to the elected Governor because of his close relationship with top APC officials in Abuja.

The State's APC Chieftain who pleaded anonymity said, "the person involved in this scandal is known as being arrogant to everybody."

Governor Alhaji Badaru is bitter about this situation and directed those involved with the embezzlement to immediately return the money.
