While his administration continues along the same course as the immediate past government in the state, Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed contractors handling public projects in the State to go back to the site immediately.

Ganduje released this mandate on Monday while inspecting Post Office and Railway roads. He also stressed that it is his government's duty to complete all uncompleted projects initiated by the Kwankwasiyya government of which he is part and parcel of.

“We shall see to the completion of these projects which were started while I was Deputy Governor”, said Ganduje.

He also charged the contractor handling the Post Office and Railway roads to work “day and night to ensure overlay of asphalt is completed within two days.” He noted that already, streetlights have been installed by the two roads sides and are waiting to be switched on.

Moreover, to ensure realistic execution of the operation, Governor Ganduje continues to monitor the ongoing seven day “Keep Kano Clean Campaign Operation” within the eight metropolitan Local Government Areas (LGA) of Kano.

The Governor, together with his deputy, Professor Hafiz Abubakar, and officials from the Ministry of Environment and Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB), inspected the operation at Dawakin Dakata, Zangon Dakata and Ajasa along Katsina road in Kano metropolis.

Pointing out that cleanliness has a foremost position in Islam, Ganduje called on people in the state to give priority to personal hygiene, household, and immediate environment sanitation.
