At least ten people have died after the denotation of twin suicide bombs in the city of Potiskum, Yobe State.

A local source informed SaharaReporters correspondents that this afternoon, the first attack, which involved a male suicide bomber, has killed at least 8 people including the Vigilantes Commander in the city of Potiskum.

The bomber was said to have come to the vigilante group office, near Nigeria Prison service with a computer device. The vigilantes insisted that the male bomber open it‎ immediately. The bomb then detonated.

Bashir Lawan, a member of Vigilante who overheard the argument about the computer device, said that seven people and the Commander of the Potiskum Vigilante Group were killed.

The second bombing happened only moments after the first, claiming at least two lives.

A police source told Yahoo News that a man suspected to be a bomber was chased by an angry mob and set off his explosives before he was caught.

“Two people have been confirmed dead,” he added.

A resident by the name of Raph Ben told SaharaReporters correspondents that he saw ambulances and aid workers including the Red Cross moving towards Potiskum.
